Go Beach Club Barcelona Review

Go Beach Club is one of those venues that people usually already have an opinion about before they arrive. It has a reputation for big daytime parties, loud music, and a festival-style atmosphere, and in most cases, that reputation is deserved.

I’ve booked Go Beach for a lot of large hen and stag groups over the years, and when a group tells me they want high-energy, daytime drinking, and dancing around a pool, this is often one of the first places I consider.

That said, it’s very much a specific type of venue. If your group fits the profile, it can be great. If not, it can feel overwhelming.

Here’s the honest breakdown.

Real Vibe & Atmosphere

Go Beach is big, busy, and built for volume. It’s open-air, spacious, and designed to hold a lot of people at once.

By late morning it already feels active. By early to mid-afternoon, it usually shifts into full daytime party mode. People are standing, dancing, moving between tables, and spending more time around the pool area than sitting quietly.

This is not a place for quiet sunbathing.

It feels more like a daytime club with a pool than a relaxed beach club.

Who It’s Best For

Go Beach works best for:

  • Large hen parties
  • Stag groups
  • Mixed groups who want a party
  • Groups who enjoy loud music and crowds
It’s not ideal for:
  • Couples
  • Small chilled groups
  • Anyone looking for a quiet pool day

If your group has been talking about “pool party” rather than “pool bar”, this is usually what they mean.

Music & Energy Progression

Music is generally commercial house, vocal house, and upbeat party tracks.
  • Late morning / early afternoon: energetic but manageable
  • Mid-afternoon onwards: louder, busier, and more intense
It doesn’t really dip back down once it gets going. Energy stays high.

Pool & Layout

The pool is central to the venue and acts as a social focal point rather than a swimming pool.

Most people use it to cool off, pose for photos, and move in and out while drinking.

Tables and VIP areas surround the pool and terrace spaces. Being closer to the central areas usually means more atmosphere. Outer tables can feel slightly calmer.

Crowd Type

  • International crowd
  • Tourist-heavy
  • Mostly 20s to mid-30s

You’ll see lots of visiting groups, birthday celebrations, and weekend party crowds.

Booking & Minimum Spend Reality

On busy days, Go Beach Club operates on a minimum spend model for tables, daybeds, and VIP areas.

As a rough guide, standard sunbeds or daybeds typically start from around €150–€250 per person. Table reservations generally begin at approximately €500 minimum spend, while premium daybeds and larger VIP areas can range from €800–€1,200+ depending on location and group size.

Drinks are priced in line with other large beach clubs in Barcelona. Cocktails usually sit around €14–€18, beers €8–€10, and bottle prices vary by brand and table position.

As with most high-demand venues, pricing fluctuates based on season, event schedule, and overall demand.

Location & Logistics

Go Beach is located in Port Fòrum, slightly outside the main city centre.

Taxis are the easiest option. Walking from central Barcelona is not realistic.

Most groups treat Go Beach as a dedicated daytime stop, then taxi back to their accommodation before heading out again in the evening.

The Pros & Cons

Pros:
  • Strong party atmosphere
  • Large capacity for big groups
  • Reliable daytime energy
  • Designed for pool parties
Cons:
  • Not relaxed
  • Can feel crowded
  • Out of city centre
  • Not a budget venue

My Verdict

If your group wants a proper daytime pool party, Go Beach Club is one of the strongest options in Barcelona.

If your group wants chilled drinks, sunbeds, and conversation, I’d encourage you to read my blogs about Purobeach Club, Bastian Beach Bar or Skybar Rooftop.

Building a Full Day or Weekend in Barcelona?

Most groups don’t just book one activity for their weekend, and a pool bar is complemented very well when it’s combined with one or two standout experiences around it.

For stag groups, a lot of people pair a pool bar or rooftop drinks stop with something like a private catamaran charter, private yacht charter, or a rooftop bar crawl later in the day. You can view all of our Barcelona stag do ideas and activities by clicking HERE.

For hen groups, popular combinations for the weekend would include a beachfront picnic, Butler in the Buff, nude life drawing, or a private boat charter earlier in the day before heading to drinks. You can view all of our Barcelona hen do ideas and activities by clicking HERE.
