The sea, its essence and its products imbues our soul and our restaurant. Our restaurant was founded in 1968 in the sailing village of Barceloneta, Barcelona. We have our roots there, a humble district where the majority of the shops are addressed towards the hospitality sector. María, the owner, as well as Enrique’s wife, created a restaurant with great work and eagerness. Her objective is to attend and take care of its clients efficiently and to the detail. She offers great quality cuisine based on its products and her culinary know-how on fish and seafood cooking, although always with her personal touch. Enrique, the owner, is personally in charge of buying the fresh ingredients, something he learnt from his father, who used to work as a fisherman in the village. Later on, their children Rosa and Enrique inherited the family tradition and nowadays they manage the restaurant with their parents. Our kitchen receives fresh products from the sea every day. We recommend Caldero de arroz con Bogavante (lobster rice dish) and our great variety of sea- based appetizers such as chipirones a la andaluza (Andalusian style baby cuttlefish), crayfish “Maria style” cooked in the oven or sea nettle, among others. We guarantee you will enjoy the service, because forty years of experience in the kitchen back us up!
