Barcelona has everything a great stag do needs. Guaranteed sunshine, world class beaches, incredible nightlife, amazing restaurants, rooftop bars and a huge range of stag activities all in one city. It's easy to get to from the UK, usually under 2 hours flying time, and offers far better value for money than most European capitals.

After looking after thousands of groups we can safely say that you should need no more than 100 to 200 euros per person. As we're based in Barcelona we offer extremely competitive prices. For 200 euros you could easily book a catamaran or yacht charter, go karting, a cocktail masterclass and a private bar tour, and you would still have change.

For a stag weekend in Barcelona, we generally advise staying in the Eixample area, in and around Rambla de Catalunya, as the buildings are larger and generally more modern. El Born is also a great area and quite lively, as is the Gothic Quarter. Poblenou is a popular area, it's close to Bogatell beach, may be slightly cheaper and is only a short taxi or metro ride from the centre.

Barcelona is a year round destination but the most popular months for stag dos are April through to September. March, April and May being most popular for stag weekends. July and August are the hottest months with temperatures reaching 30 degrees or above, which is perfect for beachfront activities such as yacht charters and watersports. May, June and September offer warm weather with slightly smaller crowds, making them ideal for anyone who wants to avoid the summer heat.

For accommodation we recommend Booking.com as they have a huge selection and you're not subjected to accommodation that has been used multiple times by other stag and hen groups, leading to less care and attention to detail. Book flights separately through your preferred travel provider for better costs. Barcelona is generally safe. Like any major city, it's common for people who are not vigilant to leave a phone or bag on a table, or keep phones in back pockets without holding valuables securely. These only offer opportunities for opportunist thieves. As long as you're aware of your surroundings and take the mentioned precautions you'll likely be just fine.
