Top 5 Luxury Barcelona Roof Terrace Bars

A lot of people who join or inquire about our services often ask for different recommendations. One we have be asked quite a lot is for roof top Terrace bars. So below we have posting our top five luxury roof terraces the Barcelona has to offer.

Hotel No.1 is Hotel Me by Melia

Roof top terrace bars Barcelona

Until recently in Barcelona this may have been the reserve of the few who were happy to shell out on a room at one of the city’s top five star hotels. No longer. Increasing numbers of hotels are giving their roof terraces luxury make-overs and opening them to non-guests – so now you can chill out and take in Barcelona from on high, without having to break the bank.

Best time to go About 9pm to get a drink in before dinner

Signature cocktail Not a cocktail, but a bright and lively cava by Agusti Torrelló (€5)

Open Exclusively for restaurant customers, May to September, 11am – 11pm

Hotel No.2 is The Majestic Hotel

The original luxury terrace bar, the Majestic hotel is the go-to city center hotel for the rich and famous. Chill out sofas, cool cocktails and even a plunge pool (strictly speaking for guests only, but who’s to know?) added to the wonderful views over the city, Monjuic and the Sagrada Familia make this one of the coolest bars in town.

As you might expect, drinks prices match the luxury settings – making this the most expensive of the top five.

Address: Passeig de Gracia with C/ Valencia

Hotel No.3 is Condes de Barcelona

A newly opened bar, the ultra cool Condes roof terrace makes a joke of the mere four star status of the hotel it sits on top of. Amazing views over Gaudi’s Casa Mila and Sagrada Familia, low, moody lighting and the odd live music performances combine to make the Condes a peoples favourite of the top five.)
Address: Passeig de Gracia with C/ Mallorca

Hotel No.4 is Duquesa de Cardona

Duquesa-de-Cardona

Rooftop views in the Barri Gotic (Old Town) are really hard to come by, but the Duquesa de Cardona sits right on the edge of the area, with the Port Vell marina stretching out in front of it, giving it an amazing vantage point. The bar area boasts laid back sofa seating and if you’re lucky live music performances to add to the Luxury.

The attached restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, but it’s really worth it for the location and views.

Address: Passeig de Colom, 12

Hotel No.5  Last but definitely not least is Hotel W

Roof top terrace bars Barcelona

This bar is located in the famous Hotel W, a luxury hotel by Barcelona beach and it has some amazing views of the sea. It was designed by Isabel López Vilalta and can be found on the 26th floor. You can have a nice cocktail here, but don’t expect it to be cheap, you can also have some tapas, and oriental. You have to be dressed decently though, so don’t expect to get in if you’re dressed in a bathing suit, or tracksuits. It opens quite early at 7pm, and depending on the day will close between 2am – 4 am.
